With barely hours to the All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship primaries in Ondo State, one of the leading aspirants Segun Abraham, has announced his withdrawal from the race.
This follows Sunday's withdrawal from the governorship race by Mr. Ife Oyedele, who noted that he stepped down from the governorship contest in order for the All Progressives Congress to be formidable ahead of the October 10th gubernatorial polls.
But on Monday with only hours to the APC primary election, Mr. Segun Abraham a close associate of National Leader of the party and former governor of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu , pulled out of the race.
Abraham made his withdrawal known through the Media Officer of Olusegun Abraham Campaign Organisation, Kunle Adumashi, who cibfirgmed the development to Journalists in the state capital, Akure.
He said , ” Dr Olusegun Abraham is no more participating in the primary election of the All Progressives Congress. He does not trust the process . So he is no more participating .”
With this development embattled governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN is now in pole position to secure the party's sole governorship ticket.
