Someone Needs To Call Lionel Messi To Order Before He Causes More Trouble For Barcelona - [My View].

Barcelona had Lionel Messi virtually fuming after they lost 1-2 at home to Osasuna.

The Blaugranas who saw arch rivals Real Madrid lift their 34th La Liga trophy after beating Villarreal 2-1 were left embarrassed as 10-men Osasuna secured a shock win over the Catalans.

Barcelona have struggled ever since the restart of the season in mid June and were once again exposed by a determined Osasuna side that sealed an unlikely win in second half stoppage time.

The loss which left Barca 7 points adrift runaway champions Real Madrid and 2nd on the table with 79 points accrued prompted scathing remarks from skipper Lionel Messi

Speaking to Spanish TV after the game, Messi said:

"We didn't expect to finish in this way, but it sums up the year for us. We are a weak team who can be beaten with enough intensity and enthusiasm.

"We have lost a lot of points which we shouldn't have done. We have been very inconsistent.

"We need to be self-critical, starting with the players, but also across the entire club. We are Barcelona, and we are obliged to win every game".

But then, did he really have to go that far in saying those demoralizing words?

Of course he has the right to be upset at the way his team is currently playing, but as the skipper of a big club like Barcelona, he should have loosened on his reactions to the defeat.

For Messi to label his team as "weak" and one that can be beaten with "enough intensity and enthusiasm" is almost giving their potential opponents hints on how to face them.

Barcelona still has Napoli to play in the Champions League and if they are to salvage anything from this season, then there should be less angry reactions from a player like Messi who's supposed to defend his teammates performance while at same time rallying them for an improved display albeit behind closed doors.

He should accept the fact that not all the players available at his disposal is close enough to the level he's operating at, and must be careful as not to cause more trouble for his team with such remarks after a potential defeat.

If anything, Lionel Messi should learn not to be a sore loser, mellow down and prepare for their next games but if he's to continue in same manner as he did after the Osasuna game, then he must be called to order by the powers that be in Barcelona.

Do You Think Messi Was Right In Voicing Out His Displeasure In Such Manner?
