EPL Best Team Ater The Midweek Matches


Manchester City secured their 21st consecutive victories in all competitions with a 4-1 victory over Wolverhampton to increased their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 14 points

Manchester United are now 14 points behind league leaders after an underwhelming goalless draw away at Crystal Palace. It was their sixth goalless draw of the season. Bruno Fernándes wasn't able to influence the game.

Liverpool lost their fifth consecutive league matches at Anfield with Mason Mount giving Chelsea a deserved 1-0 win, the Blues are now 4 points behind second placed Manchester United . Mohamed Salah was surprisingly substituted by Jurgen Klopp

Tosin Adarabioyo scored an own goal to help Tottenham secure a 1-0 away win at Fulham. 

Europe chasing Everton secured their third consecutive win with a 1-0 away win at 19th placed West Brom 

Injury plagued Leicester played out a 1-1 draw at Burnley 

Elsewhere, 10-man Sheffield United secured a 1-0 over Aston Villa

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

The Foxes keeper superb against Burnley making good dives to impressively save headers from James Tarkowski and Chris Wood.

 Defenders - Mason Holgate (Everton), Davinson Sánchez (Tottenham), Andreas Christensen (Chelsea) Lucas Digne (Everton) 

Mason Holgate (RB)

The youngster put in a solid performance against Westbrom to help Everton to an away win against the Baggies. 

Key stats -He made the most tackles (4)in the match and made 2 clearances. He also made 5 recoveries, 2 interceptions and won 3 aerial duels. 

Davinson Sánchez (CB)

The Colombia international was previously out of Tottenham starting lineup earlier in the season but has worked his way into the team. He was solid against Fulham, helping Tottenham secure a vital away win. 

Key stats : He made 2 clearances, 2 successful tackles and made 1 last man tackle. He also made 6 recoveries and 2 interceptions. 

Andreas Christensen(CB)

The Dane stepped in for the injured Thiago Silva and has put in strong performances. He was solid against Liverpool helping to suppress the influence of Roberto Firmino. 

Key stats :He made 9 clearances, 1 interception and 6 recoveries. 

Lucas Digne (LB)

The Frenchman has been solid all season for Europe chasing Everton. He put in a all round performance against West Brom to help Everton secured their third consecutive league wins. 

Key stats :He created 2 chances, made 4 clearances and won 10 duels. He also made 3 successful tackles, 1 interception and made 9 recoveries. 

Midfielders - N'Golo Kante (Chelsea), Jorginho (Chelsea) Mason Mount(Chelsea) 

N'Golo Kante(CM)

The French midfielder put in a solid performance against Liverpool. He partnered with Jorginho to distort Liverpool play at the midfield

Key stats: He created 2 chances, registered 1 assist, and completed 4 successful tackles out of 4 attempted. He also made 2 clearances, 2 interceptions and 11 recoveries. 


He was restored to the starting lineup after missing out of the Manchester United game. He rewarded the manager with a solid performance, partnering with Kante to dominate the midfield and stop all Liverpool's buildup. 

Key stats : He created 3 chances, and made 2 recoveries. The Italian completed most tackles(3) in the match, 2 successful dribbles and 1 clearance. 

Mason Mount (CAM)

Chelsea's player of the season by a mile. The England international continues to impress with impressive performances. He was solid against Liverpool, terrorizing Alexander Arnold with fun and he scored the winning after receiving a long pass from Kante. 

Key stats: He created 3 chances and scored the only goal of the match, He also made 1 successful dribble, 1 interception and made 7 recoveries. 

Attackers - Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City), Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City) Richarlison (Everton) 

Riyad Mahrez (RW)

Mahrez enjoyed a good outing against Wolverhampton Wanderers terrorizing the Wolves defense at any given chance. He capped the solid performance with a wonderful goal  

Key stats: The Algerian created 3 chances and scored 1 goal, he also completed 5 successful dribbles, played 3 key passes and made 4 recoveries. 

Richarlison (LW)

The Brazilian for the second consecutive matches got the winner for Everton after an all round performance. His goal against West Brom was his fourth goal in his last four league games 

Key stats : He scored 1 goal, completed 2 successful dribbles, made 3 clearances and 7 recoveries. 

Gabriel Jesus(ST)

The Brazilian hasn't got going this season, drifting in and out of games, but against Wolverhampton he had his most productive match of the season scoring two goals

Key stats: - He created 2 chances and scored 2 goals. He also made 3 recoveries and made 1 successful tackle.
