World soccer governing body popularly known as FIFA have taken time out of their busy schedule to celebrate a veteran Nigerian football player.
As their culture of recognizing footballers per excellence, International Federation of Association Football have sent salute to Super Falcons maestro for marking another year.
Asaba-born Rita Chikwelu clock 33 on Saturday with the Nigeria Football Federation and FIFA showing some genuine love through social media platforms.
The playmaker is a professional football player who despite her age is playing for Spanish club Madrid Club de Fútbol Femenino (Madrid CFF). She previously played for Umeå IK and Kristianstads DFF.
She has also been a member of the Nigeria women's national football team for many years courtesy of the iconic number 10 jersey.
She has won the Africa Women's Championship, played at the FIFA Women's World Cup and was also a member of the Nigerian Olympic team which participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics in China.
