Manchester United and Barcelona have reportedly agreed on a fee for midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
The Red Devils have identified him as their main summer target and have reached an agreement with the Blaugrana on a fee.
The Manchester giants have agreed to pay €75 million up front, with an additional €10 million in performance bonuses.
Despite this, a transfer is far from complete because they would need to persuade De Jong to join them at Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old has informed his agent that he will remain with the Blaugrana this summer.
Furthermore, he wants to play Champions League football, which United will not be able to provide him with next season.
As a result, the Red Devils will have to work hard to sign him this summer. De Jong appears to be adamant about staying put.
Chelsea is a club the midfielder would consider, but the Blues have yet to make a formal offer for his services.
