Us humans can be creatures of habit, getting too comfortable causes us to lack the confidence to try new things.
Your nerves and anxiety will reduce each time you try something new, and you may well find what completes you.
I don't really need to explain this one, everyone knows why exercise increases confidence. I recommend a combination of both cardio and strength training and be sure to drinks lots of water and break a sweat.
Confidence never stops growing with progress. If you're patient, committed and consistent, you will progress. Don't quit, but don't stick to something you hate just not to be a quitter. Learn and move on, that's progress too.
You'll see this a lot here, but for good reason. Comparison puts focus on the wrong person, make you your main focus. We waste valuable energy focusing on other people that we could have put into improving ourselves.
