Ebonyi Council Chairmen Gives Police Deadline To Fish Out Killer Herdsmen


On Monday last week suspected fulani herdsmen invaded four communities in Ebonyi state and killed uncountable Ebonyi citizens. The four communities invaded are; Egedege, Umuhuali, Obegu and Amaezu in Ishielu Local Government Area of the state.

Meanwhile, the governor of Ebonyi state has said all herdsmen in Ebonyi state disappeared the Same night after killings in Ebonyi. The governor said while granting interview after the killings. Click here to watch the video

In a recent development, the 13 council chairmen in the state condemned the killings and pledged support to the law banning open grazing bill in the state.

The council chairmen gave 72 hours ultimatum to security agencies in the state to find out Killer Herdsmen. They said security agencies have not done enough to provide security for those living in various localities.

"We are not happy with what happened on Monday. We are giving security agencies 72 hours to catch all those that carried this evil act and make them face justice.

After meeting with of the council chairmen, they vowed to deal with any herdsmen who misbehaves.
