U/W: College of Education Names their Hall After Alban Bagbin


A college of Education in the Wa East District of Upper West Region has named its college of Education after the Speaker of Ghana's Eighth Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin.

The Speaker of the 8th Parliament of Ghana, The Rt. Hon. Alban S.K Bagbin, was yesterday honored with a citation by the Alisunna Wal Jamaa (ASWAJ) Islamic College of Education.

The ASWAJ Islamic College of Education is a new college of Education located in the Wa East District as part of efforts to discover more educationists in the district.

The school has also officially named one of its halls of residence after the Speaker of Parliament. The name of the hall of residence is Bagbin's Hall. The official colour of the hall is parliamentary Gold.

Presenting the citation and an original copy of the Bagbin's Hall T-shirt to the Speaker of Parliament by the SRC, some staff of the school and the ASWAJ Islamic mission, they noted that the Rt. Hon. Bagbin is the hope of the future and that they do not take him for granted.

The Speaker Accepted the recognition from the college of Education.
