Kemiso Motaung shares encouraging information at Naturena.

Kaizer Chiefs' head of digital, Kemiso Motaung, has confirmed that the club's long-awaited women's team will debut this season.

Speaking on Radio 2000's sports program Game Time, Motaung discussed her role as the daughter of the club's owner and chair, Kaizer Motaung.

She noted that not everyone is aware of the difficulties the Chiefs have had in establishing a women's squad.

Yes, we have been discussing this for some time. "There were certain complexities we had to look at, and we still are looking at," she said.

Once Khoza and Phanyaza follow suit, we'll finally have a women's Soweto derby. The FNB stadium is where I plan to go to see women's soccer. We're hoping to see some success from the first team. Then, perhaps, we can get to the frills and gimmicks.

At the highest levels, this is strictly a family affair. No one else is worthy of being called a king or queen, and they must be treated as slaves.

It's fine if they start competing with established brands if they're superior. There is nothing inappropriate about the fact that Kaizer Chiefs, like every other team, is a privately owned business. Everyone who shows up for work is an employee, not a slave.
