Orlando Pirates co-mentor Fadlu Davids has given an update about their crew in front of Sunday's Nedbank Cup game against AmaZulu.
The Buccaneers will have AmaZulu in the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup, and Davids has said the club has needed to manage a couple of disturbances throughout the most recent month, without referencing any names.
Anyway he is satisfied that this week 95% of the crew are back in preparing.
"Arrangements have worked out in a good way, taking into account that we had interruptions as far as players becoming sick, in addition to some being away in the DStv Compact Cup," Davids told the club's site.
"Fortunately, presently in the last week before our first game back, it will be whenever that we'll first have basically 95% of our crew back preparing together. So that is a major positive."
Privateers beat AmaZulu 2-1 in their DStv Premiership installation in December, yet Davids says he expects an alternate methodology from Benni McCarthy's group in the cup
"A cup game is different to an association game, AmaZulu were somewhat more moderate in the association games," he added.
"They figured out how to get a draw on their home ground.
"We anticipate that they should fix their missteps and come out weapons bursting against us, realizing that we beat them in the last round of a year ago.
"It will be an altogether different experience with it being a cup game, and the two groups will view at this competition as their opportunity to complete the season with flatware."
