His Excellency Mike Mbuvi Sonko, the previous second Governor of Nairobi Region, appears to have continued his political career after being relegated to the office of Governor of Nairobi. The divisive politician is back, and he'll be running for Mombasa Regional Governor in the upcoming fourth general election, according to the Wiper Kenya Democratic Movement.
His entry into the Mombasa County premier's office has raised the bar when it comes to running for Mvita Regional Member of Parliament the Honorable Abduswamad Sharif Nassir of the Orange Democratic Movement. Both parties are in the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Movement. Mike Sonko has swallowed his pride as he has agreed to join both the Honorable Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir and Governor Ali Hassan Joho at the Hon Raila rally in Mombasa over the weekend.
