Sundowns are rumoured to have paid plus or minus R25 million for one of the house hold name in South Africa Teboho Mokoena. One wonders what does this mean for the transfer window market in South Africa, if Sundowns can pay so much and win a bid against European team from Belgium. This could push other team to demand more money from Sundowns for their star players.

We can see a situation were the likes of Stellenbosch and Royal AM saying if Sundowns can pay so much for 1 player, they could demand more money from any suitors for Du Perez and Letsoalo respectively. Sundowns normally buys a high profile player for plus minus R12 million. If the figure is anything to go buy. They have definitely raised the bar.

According to Junior Kanye he could have signed 7 players with that amount. Sundowns intention are clear. They are preparing themselves for CAF Champions league. This could put the technical team under pressure to win the African inter-club competition. Big teams in North Africa they put their technical team under immerse pressure to win the cup because they are investing a lot in their players. They will normally fire a coach if he does not do well in the competition.

Junior Kanye believes Sundown did a good job as Teboho Mokoena is a well developed player. He is pleading with Sundowns to let the player settle down and understand the team's philosophy

They must be fair and give the young man at least 6 months to settle at Cloorkop.

Coach Kwanele kopo also deserve some credit as he groomed Mokoena at a young age, while he was coaching at Supersport academy. He identified the player while he was still at free state province.

Junior says it does not often happens that a team could fork out R25 million for a player in PSL. This only means one thing they need to win the CAF Champions league.
