It's 7/7 For Flick As Bayern Munich Sets 2 New UEFA Champions League Records

With Bayern Munich 2-1 defeat of Lazio on Wednesday night, Hansi Flick has become the first coach to win seven straight games in a UEFA Champions League knock out stage.

Since he took over the reign at the Bavarian club midway into the 2019/2020 season, the coach is yet to lose any UEFA Champions League games.

Defeating Chelsea and Lazio twice each in the round of 16 in the 2020 and 2021 UEFA Champions League respectively.

The team also recorded a one-off victory over knock out Barcelona in the 2020 quarter-final and Lyon in the semi-final before dispatching PSG on the final day to win the 2020 UEFA Champions League.

The coach has now stretched Bayern Munich's unbeaten run to 19, tieing their longest streak in the competition.

The 6-2 aggregate victory over Lazio has ensured that the club now plays in the quarter-finals for a record 19th time, a feat no team has ever achieved.

Since Hansi Flick took over at Bayern Munich it has been a story of success after success, Bayern Munich has gone to win all the 6 trophies available within the shortest period.

The team won the Bundesliga title, the DFB Pokal, the German Super Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the World Club Cup.

The team won these cups in a very convincing manner tearing teams apart, playing sweet attacking football, and scoring goals for fun.

The team is not showing any sign of tiredness or slowing down as they are still in the race to winning a quadruple this season.
