The Mt Kenya Foundation, a caucus of regional business leaders, has tasked the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) with touring the region and making their case to the people before they can support them.
"You are now free to walk into Mount Kenya and preach your gospel and policies and convince the people. We shall then go to Limuru and make a decision on who we are going to follow," Mr Ibui said.
He added: "We want the people of that region to make a decision."
Mr Ibui noted that the tycoons do not have a preferred candidate yet, adding that the announcement will be made at the Limit Three Convention.
