The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has officially released provisional results for the 2021 candidates who wrote the just end WASSCE.
In a press release dated 13th November 2021, the non Profitable Organization said,
"The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) wishes to inform its numerous publics that it has released provisional results of candidates, who sat for the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2021 in Ghana."
According to WAEC, the release of the provisional results follows the completion of all post-examination processes. The results of the candidates will be dispatched to their schools. Candidates are therefore advised to contact their heads of school for their results.
WAEC added that, the Council has hosted the results online and candidates who so desire, may access their results at the Council's website - www.waecah.org.
In the release, the West African Examination Council sounded a caution to all stakeholders, especially candidates. to be wary of fake results websites and the activities of fraudsters who promise to upgrade results for a fee.
The Council further advised Candidates to take note that all WAEC results are secured and can be authenticated. Institutions are therefore urged to always verify results presented to them to expose incidents of forgery.
The statement from WAEC concluded with the statistics for the 2021 candidates who wrote the exams.
According to them, A total of 446,321 candidates from 965 schools entered for the examination. The figure for this 2021 is 12.6% higher than the 2020 candidates of 375,736. The 2021 entry figure was made up of 221,437 (49.4%) males and 224,884 (50.1%) females. A total of 3.349 (0.89%) of the candidates who registered were absent from the examination.
Candidates who wish to check their results online can purchase WAEC checker cards and log onto www.waecah.org to check.
However those who wish to go for it in their various schools can also do so.
