Gordon Asare Bediako Writes: There Is No Ambiguity In The Court Ruling Today

There's no ambiguity in the ruling. Supreme Court says the Electoral Commission of Ghana should compile a new voters' register and conduct the 2020 general elections in accordance with the existing CI 126.

According to CI 126, eligible Ghanaians can register for the voters' identification card by:

1. Producing a valid Ghanaian Passport

2. Producing a valid Ghana Card or

3. Getting two registered voters to vouch for you.

This is very simple for everyone to understand.

If you don't understand this simple ruling and still think it's ambiguous, then I'm afraid you don't qualify to vote.

Remember that, to qualify to register and vote, you must be of sound mind.

After days of battling the case of NDC against the EC at the supreme court, the court in its wisdom quashed the case out and has given the EC the go ahead to compile the new voters register with the requirements documents excluding the current voter's ID.
