England Under-21 international full-back Brandon Williams has completed a move to Norwich City on a season-long loan from Manchester United.
Norwich have beaten off competition from Newcastle and Southampton for Brandon Williams.
Williams' playing time at Old Trafford has been limited due to Luke Shaw's form at left-back; the defender might be available for Norwich's Carabao Cup match against Bournemouth on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old's move to Carrow Road was finalised on Monday after he completed a medical over the weekend, and the defender will wear the No 21 shirt for the Canaries for the rest of the 2021/22 campaign.
Williams joins Billy Gilmour (on loan from Chelsea), Christos Tzolis (PAOK), Angus Gunn (Southampton), Ben Gibson (Burnley), Josh Sargent, and Milot Rashica (both Werder Bremen) as Norwich's tenth summer signing.
Southampton and Newcastle have been long-term admirers, but United has been unwilling to loan him away in recent transfer windows.
Norwich's starting full-backs are Dimitris Giannoulis and Max Aarons, although Williams has been signed to compete with the Greece international for a starting position at left-back.
Williams stated, " "It's a completely different experience. It'll be my first time playing for a different club, but I'm just ready to get started, meet everyone, and get my season started.
"It's a big club, and I enjoy their style of play. I've watched them play throughout the years and am familiar with their style.
