Breaking: Army rescues kidnapped victims, recovers weapons in 3 states

Troops of the Nigerian Army under Operation Sahel Sanity have rescued eight kidnapped victims and recovered weapons in Sokoto, Zamfara and Kastina States.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, had on July 6 flagged off the Operation Sahel Sanity at Special Army Super Camp in Faskari as part of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration.

Breaking: Man burns 10-year-old boy’s buttocks over tea

Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 24-year-old man, Badmus Folarin, for burning the buttocks of a 10-year- old boy, Sunday David, for allegedly licking from a tin of tea.

Folarin allegedly used a hot knife to burn the buttocks of the victim for taking from the tea, which belonged to his (Folarin’s) mother.

Zindzi Mandela, the youngest daughter of South Africa’s first black president Nelson Mandela has died aged 59, local media reported Monday.

She was ambassador to Denmark at the time of her death.


Breaking: National Theatre renovation to create 10,000 jobs, says Fed Govt

TEN thousand jobs will be created as a result of the renovation of the National Arts Theatre, the Federal Government has said.

Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed spoke on Sunday while handing over the edifice to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Bankers’ Committee.
