Earlier on Sunday February 28, Baringo senator Gideon Moi presided over a fundraising event that took place at Kabartonjo AIC Church in Baringo North. The KANU chair was to help in the raising of funds towards the purchasing and installation of Digital projection and TV screens for the church.
Baringo Capital News: "TV screens and projector will cost around 1.5 million shillings. Says Kabartonjo AIC committee as they call for a mega fundraising. Gideon Moi is the chief guest."
After the fundraising ceremony, Gideon Moi made a visit at Kabartonjo town together with KANU SG Nick Salat, Baringo women representative Gladwell Tungo and surprisingly, the town came to stand still as the residents turned up in large numbers to hear from their senator. This was clearly revealed from the photos above and below.
Gideon Moi: "After the church service and fundraising at AIC Kabartonjo, l made an impromptu visit to Kabartonjo town where l addressed an enthusiastic mammoth crowd which received our entourage."
Just to remind ourselves, Gideon Moi's Baringo County was the first county whose county assembly shoot down the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) constitutional Bill.
With his warm welcome to Kabartonjo town, here is how Kenyans reacted.
Kibe: "Mammoth crowd, hahaha. I think you are hearing that word for the first time."
Simwa: "I was in disagreement with my Kalenjin friend who was telling me that you are a Kalenjin kingpin. But now I'm in agreement with him that you're the real Kalenjin kingpin."
Thiogo: "Buy you are the area senator. Why do you sound too overwhelmed by the crowd."
Pauline: "And Kenyans are happy and more United than ever. Our Kalenjin kingpin, we now know who is fighting you!"
