The truck drivers have raised an eyebrow calling upon the government to intervene for their woes in Malava border in Busia County that is under the leadership of Governor Sospeter Ojaamong.

The truck drivers have raised an alarm claiming that the Covid-19 clearance certificates are delayed and not issued on time at the border and it has greatly affected them.

The truck drivers led by Mr. Robert Mwangi want the ministry of health to speed up the Covid-19 testing process and provide the clearance certificates on time to allow them transport the perishable goods on time to other neighbouring countries such as Uganda and Tanzania.

In conclusion, the delay in providing covid clearance certificates to the truck drivers has greatly contributed to the congestion along Malaba -Webuye highway. The ministry of health through the leadership of Mutahi Kagwe announced that all truck drivers should get tested of Covid-19 as one way of containment measures to curb the spread of the virus.
