Deputy President William on Thursday tendered his apologies to his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta, in case have failed to meet his expectations.
Speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast held at Safari Park Hotel, DP Ruto admitted that he may have failed his boss during their 10-year reign, further declaring his forgiveness to those who even wronged him.
"Serving as Deputy President I may have fallen short of the expectations of my boss and his excellency the President, my good friend, I ask for your forgiveness," stated teh DP Ruto.
He stated that all he aimed in the run-up to the General Election is to be 'free of the debt of hurt.' The second-in-command also took the chance to wish President Kenyatta well as he prepares to exit in August, to enjoy the legacy he has built during his reign.
"And as you head to retirement, it is my prayer that God will give you every aspiration of your heart and make it possible for you to enjoy the legacy that you have built and the peace that God will give you," added the DP.
About the upcoming General Elections, DP Ruto assured Kenyans of peace, adding that if he does not win the seat, he will accept the election results.
The DP made an assurance that he together with his team Kenya Kwanza will do all it takes to have a peaceful elections, noting how many Kenyans were anxious about what the election will bring forth.
According to DP Ruto, whoever will win it will be through the will of God and they will fully respect God's will through the choice of Kenyans.
