The Kenya Kwanza flagbearer has found himself on the receiving end of numerous criticism over claims that he plans to probe President Uhuru Kenyatta once he wins the presidency.
While unveiling his manifesto, Deputy President William Ruto said that in his first 30 days in office he would establish a public inquiry into State capture and some of the Jubilee government's policies with a view to reverse them.
Azimio La Umoja presidential running mate has said that DP Ruto's greatest undoing was his for the President.
Speaking during a rally, Martha Karua accused Ruto of undermining the same government he works for.
Ms Karua together with other Mt Kenya leaders also came to the defence of President Uhuru in the face of an alleged plot by DP Ruto to probe his administration if elected.
"We can't have two presidents at the same time. You must leave space for your boss to govern the country. If you lack respect as a deputy, you will walk on the people once elected," Ms Karua said.
"If you want to be President, respect the one on the seat. Correct him with decorum if you have to. Respecting your seniors is not the same as being their slave."
The Narc Kenya party leader said she will ensure the government delivers its manifesto.
