With The Latest Attack On Sunday Igboho's Residence, These Are 3 Important Things He Really Needs To Take Note

Convener of Yoruba Nation agitation, Sunday Adeyemi is in the news again for another round of controversy. Early on Thursday morning, social media was practically set on fire over an attack launched on his residence in Ibadan.

The attack was coming barely 72 hours to the mega protest planned to take place in Lagos in continuation of his agitation for Yoruba nation.

According to multiple reports by credible media and other micro-blogging sites, some gunmen dressed in military uniform were said to have invaded the building located at Soka area of the Oyo State capital. It was also gathered that two people were allegedly killed in the attack while his wife was whisked away by yet to be identified hoodlums

This development appears to be taking a new dimension that is obviously beyond the expections of Sunday Igboho and his crowd of supporters. It is also an amber light that may signal an impending doom in the nearest future.

This is not the first time his house would be attacked by unknown gunmen. The house was attacked early this year shortly after the commencement of the agitation. Similarly, Security men had once attacked him along Lagos Ibadan Expressway about two months ago with the aim of arresting him but they were repelled by his boys.

With the latest attack on Igboho residence, he really needs to take note of these three things.

The first thing he should bear in mind is that he is under a close monitoring. This attack was just an attempt to send a disturbing and startling message to him.

Recalled that the last time his house was attacked, he was not at home. The house was invaded while he was away from home. The same thing happened on Thursday.

Apparently, those who invaded the place knew when he is around and when he is not. What they simply do is to pass a message to him that they can always come for him. And this is the reason he needs to take a decisive step going forward.

The second thing he needs to be mindful of is the danger he has exposed himself to and the people around him regarding the ongoing agitation for Yoruba nation.

Those in powerful position even from his region are not in support of his movement and if he is not careful, these are people that will eventually hand him over to his enemy. Imagine what would have happened if those attackers had met him at home.

Someone like him would definitely want to fight back. And in the process, many lives would have perished in the battle. If he was not at home during the attack and two people were allegedly killed, one can then imagine what would have happened if he were to be at home.

Thirdly, Igboho needs to reconsider his decision over the planned mega rally scheduled to take place in Lagos on Saturday.

Barely seventy two hours into the protest, his house was invaded, two of his people were killed while his wife abducted. Saying the attack was an attempt to distract, unsettle and send a disturbing message to him is an understatement. His adversaries mean business with him and they seem not ready to back down on his matter.

This is the reason he needs a rethink over his planned protest in order not to fight an already lost battle. He should learn from Nnamdi Kanu's current travail.
