"I Won't Withdraw From Presidential Race" - Yerima

A former Zamfara State governor and 2023 presidential aspirant, Senator Sani Yerima, has said he will step down from the presidential race if the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) zones the ticket to the South.

Yerima bared his mind on the 2023 general elections while addressing reporters yesterday in Abuja.

The erstwhile senator said he had not seen the reason for backing out of the race, not even with the call by the southern governors at their last summit in Lagos State.

Hope's Achievements Made me Dump PDP - Hilary

A former Imo East People's Democratic Party Senatorial aspirant, Hilary Ugochukwu has said that the performances of the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, was responsible for his decision to dump the PDP to join the All Progressives Congress.

Ugochukwu said this on at a formal reception on Sunday, organised in his honour by APC leaders in Owerri zone.

He told the gathering, “I am overwhelmed by what I saw Uzodimma has done within his short period in office."

SEC Approves Renewal Of Dangote Cement's Buyback Programme

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the renewal of Dangote Cement Share Buyback Programme effective until the 21st of January, 2022.

According to a notice signed by the deputy secretary of Dangote Group, Edward Imoedemhe, the share buy-back programme will be executed under the approval granted by the Company’s shareholders at the recently concluded Annual General Meeting of the company.

In line with the recent development, the notice stated that the share buyback will be undertaken through an open market offer or self-tender, at a period and term determined by the company, subject to prevailing market conditions.

Army Arrests Soldier For Killing UNICAL Student In Calabar

The Nigerian Army has announced the arrest of a soldier who allegedly killed a final year Student of the University of Calabar.

Brig Gen Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, in a statement, said the Army had institutied an investigation into the allegations.

Daily Post gathered that Mr Gray Agbesu was killed on Friday by a serving soldier deployed on duty at the Calabar Correctional Service facility.
