Ash Gold's Last Minute Penalty Goal Stops Hearts Of Oak From Overtaking Asante Kotoko

The only league in Africa that continuously keep football fans and supporters on their toes till matches end is the Ghanaian Premier League.

Accra Hearts of Oak had a very great opportunity to overtake the 23rd time Ghana Premier League winners, Asante Kotoko but sadly they missed it when Ashanti Gold scored a last minute penalty on the 90+6 minute.

Prior to Accra Hearts of Oak and Ashanti Gold's encounter, the Phobians were having 30 points and we're sitting the fourth position behind Kumasi Asante Kotoko who are in the third position.

The Phobians had the chance to overtake Kumasi Asante Kotoko on the 18th minute but Victor Aidoo caused them that chance when he missed a penalty kick.

Also even a draw could have helped the Hearts of Oak to overtake Asante Kotoko or move to the third spot but unfortunately Ash Gold also had a penalty kick, but this time the host scored from the spotkick. The game ended in a 1-0 score in favor of Ashanti Gold.

Asante Kotoko are currently on the third position with 31 points, a point ahead of Hearts of Oak that have 30 points. Accra Hearts of Oak have played a game more than Asante Kotoko.
