Breaking: FG Lifts Ban on Interstate Movement from July 1, announces plans on School resumption.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has lifted the ban on Interstate movements. This announcement was made by the Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19 and Secretary to the government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha during press briefing on Monday. The phase two of the Lockdown was also extended by 4 weeks; and the interstate movements will only be allowed outside of the Curfew hours which is between the hours of 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

This new development will take effect from Tuesday, June 30, 2020 and will end on Monday, July 27, 2020.

Mr Boss Mustapha also announced during the briefing that there will be safe reopening of schools for the graduating class only; the JSS 3 and SSS 3 students to allow them prepare for their exams.

Plans are also underway to allow reopening of airports for domestic Flights.

He also reiterated the need to wear face masks in public places.
