Sonko Shares Photos On His Facebook Account With His Rivals, See How Kenyans Have Reacted.
The race in Mombasa gubernatorial seat remains with three horses, Mike Mbuvi Sonko of Wiper Party, Abdulswamad Nassir of ODM and Hassan Omar Hassan of United Democratic Alliance UDA party. The three have remained rivals since they are eyeing the top seat after Joho's ten years in office cones to an end this August.
Well the Mombasa gubernatorial hopeful Mike Sonko met with his two fellow contestants, on Saturday in a prayer meeting Bahari Beach after which he shared some photos on Facebook with them. According to Sonko, the three shared the stage at a prayer meeting that was organized by the religious leaders in Mombasa, ahead of the gubernatorial contest slated for August.
"I was privileged to attend a Church breakfast meeting at Bahari Beach hotel. We are one and we are all human. As I have always put it, colour, tribe, religion, family background and societal disbeliefs should not divide us, leaders," Sonko posted with photos of him with Hassan and Abdulswamad. Sonko added that it is crucial for politicians eyeing seats in the county to pledge peace and keep off divisive politics during campaigns in the cosmopolitan county. Below are some of the reactions from Kenyans on Facebook.
