During the tribute ceremony held in honour of late Yinka Odumakin, Ayo Adebanjo who's now the new Acting National Leader of Afenifere, used the opportunity to respond to Garba Shehu's statement where he claimed that all those agitating for a break-up are doing so to bully Buhari into giving them money.
The acting Afenifere leader said that President Buhari has a hidden agenda because he finds it hard to believe why he has severally rejected calls for restructuring, despite the fact that the many Nigerians have welcome the idea.
On Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu, Adebanjo said that both of them are representing the youth because the suffering in the country is too much for them.
“They are always quick to mention Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu. These people represent the youths because the suffering in the country is too much for them”.
He further added that if the government fails to restructure the country, they should get ready because more Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu would rise up soon.
While speaking on whether he's open to the idea of a Yoruba nation, Adebanjo said that he doesn't support secession, and he also doesn't oppose it either.
This now brings us to the question, is Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu truly fighting for Nigerian youths.
