The Pirates have a new head coach, as has been confirmed.

After Fadlu's dismissal as one of our club's coaches, fans have been eager to learn who will replace him. Thankfully, they won't have to wait much longer; by the start of the upcoming season, our new coach will be in place. Since we have already let four instructors go, we need to quickly find new ones.

On Monday or Tuesday of next week, we will make an official statement regarding our coaching situation.

Fans can take heart in the fact that Benni McCarthy is a serious contender for the position, as he is an excellent tactician and is familiar with our team's culture from his time spent on the field.

Among the frontrunners for the position is the renowned Pitso Mosimane, who has expressed interest in returning to coaching in the Premier Soccer League.

Gavin Hunt is another name on the list, and he comes equipped with an impressive record of accomplishment as a trophy-winning coach despite having worked with relatively minor league clubs. A few days ago, he tweeted about how much he missed playing.

Whoever we pick next week as our head coach, we will be in good hands, since we have Steve Komphela on the list, who accomplished incredible things at Golden Arrows and is now a part of the coaching squad at Mamelodi Sundowns.

This is not a situation where they can learn on the job, as all of the coaches have extensive expertise in the realm of trophy-winning.

We did quite well in the transfer market, and I believe we are on the upswing for a strong season in the coming year.
