Mdantsane is sure that the Citizens will win a crucial match against Stellenbosch FC and finish second this season.

"Everyone is happy; we want to play in the Champions League next season, and we have it right now," Mdantsane tells KickOff.

"We understand the stakes and the significance of Saturday's game.

"Obviously, the goal now is to earn as many points as possible in order to qualify for the Champions League.

"We want to play in the Champions League, and we deserve to do so because we have fantastic players."

"Being in this position right now demonstrates how serious we are about doing it, and that will be quite an accomplishment."

Mdantsane, dubbed the 'Penalty King,' was called up to the Bafana Bafana preliminary squad for the third time and expects to reach the final cut this time.

"Obviously, I'm delighted about making the preliminary squad; it shows that I'm progressing," says the player.

"But if it happens, it happens (making the final team), but let's aim higher and see what happens."
