The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari took off to Ethiopia on October 3, 2021, to enable him attend the inauguration ceremony of the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed.
The inauguration ceremony of Abiy Ahmed into office for his second term run is scheduled to kick off on October 4, 2021.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, made the disclosure in a press statement that President Mohammadu Buhari flew out of Nigeria on Sunday to attend the inauguration ceremony of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
Femi Adesina also disclosed that President Mohammadu Buhari scheduled his flight to Ethiopia during the early hours of Sunday morning so as to enable him arrive Ethiopia early enough to deliver his goodwill message to the Prime Minister.
Reports from Sahara News confirmed that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar both accompanied president Buhari on his trip to Ethiopia.
According to Femi Adesina, President Mohammadu Buhari is expected to be back in Nigeria on Tuesday, October 5.
