His impressive performances midfield is said to have caught the attention of several clubs across Europe and according to reports from Daily Mail, Real Madrid are also in the mix.

The reports further claimed that Real Madrid are interested in bringing the experienced defensive midfielder to the Santiago Bernabeu but they will have to fight off competition from Premier league side Liverpool.

The Reds are keen on strengthening their midfield after losing Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer to PSG during the summer and will go all out to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
