President Mohammadu Buhari's Personal Assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad has expressed happiness and joy over the handling of the dreaded Corona Virus in the country by authorities charged with the responsibility of fighting the virus. He thanked everyone who in one way or the other has contributed in this important fight, especially authorities and health officials directly involved in the war against Covid-19.
He was particularly happy as the cases of daily update by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) continue to go down. Bashir Ahmad equally was confident that Nigeria is clearly winning the war against the deadly and dreaded virus
"The NCDC has announced only 18 new cases of COVID–19 in Nigeria. Clearly this war is being won by Nigeria. We can’t adequately thank our authorities, especially health officials and frontliners," his tweet reads.
Bashir went ahead to urge those who are yet to receive the Covid-19 vaccine to urgently do so, this he say is to enable us win the war completely.
"If you haven’t taken vaccination yet, do it please, so the war can be won completely," he concluded.
Well, just like expected, mixed reactions have continued to trail the tweet from The President's Personal Assistant.
"You impact alone is enough to eradicate covid from Nigeria. God bless your efforts Sir Bashir," @MichaelNtefre said to him in appreciation of his own efforts.
"After their gimmicks had placed us on the global epic regions. We knew Corona came into the country by nonchalancy and elites lackadaisical attitude, exposing us to the shutdown. Natural cause is taking effect. Let your principals know that we gonna come out stronger," @AzukaEbeh said.
"I hope u guys are not trying to use it for campaign come 2023, bcos that will be one of the most stupid thing that will ever happen," @KeansonLala wrote.
"Definitely our health workers.
But we need to thank God more," @ Oluwapeteru01 commented.
"Let's not be caught off guard by triumphanism, India is suffering that now," @UBA_HQ warns.
