President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday passed his condolences to Jubilee Secretary General and Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju, following the demise of his mother.
Mama Mary Odiyo Tuju reportedly passed away while receiving medication at one of teh hospitals in Nairobi. Kenyatta described Tuju's mother as a hard-working community leader and elder who greatly valued and supported education as the foundation of life.
"Mama Mary was a known and highly respected community leader who believed in the virtues and benefits of education. Her belief that education...
...was the foundation of life was the inspiration that led many from her community to pursue education, and become productive members of society," read Kenyatta's eulogy in part.
Kenyatta added that Mama Odiyo's legacy will be felt via the strong family she raised, and that which has continued making an impact to the nation's socio-economic state.
The Head of State wished Tujus's family God's love and peace especially during this trying moment.
