It is now fourteen months since Kenya was affected by Covid 19. With the surge in numbers of infections, the government imposed measures that were aimed at stemming the spread of this pandemic. Several companies were wound up. Several schools were closed down. It was just crisis after crisis. I don't know how I could call the state but it was just worse. The economy was being brought down.

However, some companies created opportunities out of this crisis. The companies employed more instead of sacking workers. The companies made profits instead of making losses. The companies helped others and the government instead of asking for help from the government. The president mentioned these two companies and congratulated them for their effort.

The mentioned companies were two. The first one is Hella Clothing Company. This company is congratulated for producing face masks. It produced over 10 million face masks and sold them at affordable prices. The second company is Bedi Investment which is thanked by the President for their hard work in the production of PPEs.
