Dstv Premiership topscorers list after Peter Shalulile and Victor Letsoalo both scored doubles
The Dstv Premiership topscorers list has seen a couple of changes after Mamelodi Sundowns faced off against Royal AM which has seen in form striker Peter Shalulile and Victor Letsoalo both net doubles in the match. The match ended in a 3-2 win in favour of Mamelodi Sundowns, but it could've been worst for Sundowns as they almost saw Royal AM catch up with them.
Mamelodi Sundowns claimed the lead at 3-0 in the match when Thabiso Kutumela scored in the early 6th minute, Peter Shalulile in the 65th and 72nd minutes for a three goal lead. Mamelodi Sundowns let down their defensive shield as they allowed Victor Letsoalo scored in the 81st and 90+1 minutes of the match as Royal AM just ran out of time to catch up with Sundowns.
After Peter Shalulile scored his double in the match, he extended his lead on the Dstv Premiership topscorers list with 11 goals scored as he became the first striker in the league to hit double figures. Victor Letsoalo after he netted his double, claimed the second place spot on the topscorers list with 8 goals just behind Peter Shalulile, as Kaizer Chiefs Keagan Dolly is in third place with 6 goals as he have to wait to add more goals to his tally since Kaizer Chiefs already missed out on two matches due to a Covid outbreak which has seen them cancel their last two matches.
SuperSport United's Thamsanqa Gabuza takes the fourth place spot with 6 goals with Cape Town City FC's Mduduzi Mdantsane in fifth place also on 6 goals scored. Stellenbosch FC's exceptionally good striker Ashley Du Preez claim the seventh place spot with 5 goals in the topscorers list.
Victor Letsoalo is the only striker who are close enough to join Peter Shalulile on double digit goals in the near future as he only need two more goals to land double figures.
