The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has commenced mosque project at its headquarters in Abuja. The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria is an initiative of the federal government for Muslim pilgrimage to the holy land.
The president-general of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, laid the foundation for the construction of a Juma’at mosque.
Shortly after the laying of foundation at the site of the mosque project, Alhaji Abubakar Sa'ad inspected NAHCON Digital Economy Centre which will be commission soon.
Sultan of Sokoto also used the opportunity to attend meeting with members of NAHCON on how to move the agency forward in order to deliver its core mandate of assisting those intending to perform Hajj on annual basis.
Alhaji Sa'ad acknowledged the good work NAHCON board is doing and commended the third board led by Alhaji Abdulahi Mukthar Muhammed for the giant strides he has the commission to achieve.
