Host of the Good Morning Ghana show, Randy Abbey, made a funny joke about the New Patriotic Party’s new mantra, “Break The Eight”. Whenever the Break The Eight Mantra is mentioned, what pops up in the mind is the tough contest that will be between Alan Kyeremanten and Albania Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the NPP primaries assuming they both contest.
It is in that sense that Randy Abbey made this joke whiles posing a question to John Abu Jinapor,
”John Jinapor, yesterday, I showed my viewers a chart and I captioned it Breaking The Eight, Who Breaks It First. It looks like the fuel prices and the Cedi to dollar are in a heated race. A very heated one to break the eight. John, we are getting close to a fuel of liter being GHc 8. What is happening?”, Randy asked.
Many Ghanaians also joined in the joke and likened Alan to the exchange rate and Bawumia to the fuel price.
