Former Minister of Aviation and Culture in Nigeria, Mr. Femi Fani Kayode has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari backing Victor Giadom as the Acting National Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress.
According to the statement he made on his verified Twitter handle, The former Minister during the administration of Olusegun Obasanjo said that it is over for former Lagos State Governor and a Chieftain of the APC. According to him, Tinubu has been retired from politics.
He gave a narrative of the appeal court suspending Adams Oshiomhmole, Tinubu's preferred replacement Senator Abiola Ajimobi been unavailable base on his health issues. He added that now Tinubu's arch rival Victor Giadom is recognised by Buhari as the Acting National Chairman of the APC. Alot of Nigerians will think in the line of Mr. Fani Kayode considering that Adams Oshiomhmole and Abiola Ajimobi who are his loyalists can't be the chairman of the party now. Victor Giadom who is not a loyalist to Tinubu is now piloting the affairs of the party. Already Buhari is set to attend the National Executive Meeting of APC convened by Victor Giadom which is expected to hold electronically.
The battle for who becomes the Acting National Chairman of APC has alot to do with 2023 Presidency in which there are rumours that Tinubu might want to contest. But for now the APC has a task which is to participate and win the Edo and Ondo Governorship elections in September and November respectively.
