How to Bake Cake using a cooking stove:
Cakes have been around for decades,even before the invention of ovens and electric gas.Yet the the traditional people were still able to bake their cakes and other snacks successfully, with the use of stove.
So can actually bake your cake at home,even if you don't have oven or electric gas available.
How to bake cake using a stove:
Ingredients for the Cake Batter:
*300 grams Plain flour or Cake flour
*150 grams Sugar
*120 grams Butter
*3 tablespoonful Milk(optional)
*1 leveled tablespoon Baking Powder
*Any Flavor of your choice( i will be making use of vanilla)
*1 teaspoon Browning.
*A large aluminium pot with a lid(cover)
*A rack or an aluminum bowl that can fit into the pot
*Get your mediumsized gravel stones, flat bricks or sand as the base for your pot.try to be very careful when making use of sand,so it wouldn't get inside your cake batter.
Note:If you would be making use of sand or gravels don't forget to wash them thoroughly before use.
*prepare your baking pan by greasing it with butter and then dusting lightly with flour.
*After which place a high aluminum plate or iron gauze into a clean empty wide pot, cover the pot tightly and preheat on high heat for 10 minutes.
*Before you begin baking make sure the pot is clean, with no dirt or burnt crust in it.
*While the pot is heating up, beat the butter and sugar together in a bowl, until it becomes creamy,then add your eggs and beat well,add your milk,flavor and coloring, stir well and then sift in the baking powder and flour. Combine all together and pour into your baking pan.
* Now place your pan,into your hot pot,with hot baking rack.
"You can cover the pot with a foil (before placing the lid)to prevent heat from escaping through the sides of the lid).
*Avoid placing your cake pan directly on the bottom of the pot,or else you want your cake to burn. Always make sure there is a seperation between the cake pan and the hot pot or sand.
* Cover your pot again and leave the cake to bake well on medium heat for about 5 minutes, reduce to low heat and allow your cake to bake for 15 to 30 minutes(depending on the size of the cake you are baking).
*After 15 minutes check if your cake is done by dipping a long spoon or toothpick to the center of the cake.if the spoon comes out dry that means the Cake has done,but if it comes out moist that means the cake is not yet ready,let the cake bake for more 5 minutes.
*When the cake is done, take it out of the hot pot and leave to cool for about 10 minutes.
A normal cake baked on stove last up to 30 minutes.
You can serve your cake alone or with any soft drink of your choice.
