Prevent And Manage Ulcers With These 4 Foods


We all know that ulcers aren't a joke. Ulcers are mainly either caused by stress or a bacterium called Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori). This is why when you are sick with ulcers the doctor will give you antibiotics plus an acid suppressor.

But then it is not always that you can afford the medicine or even the time to visit the doctor. And what better way to treat ulcers, than treat them naturally and at home? Below are some foods which help in preventing and healing ulcers:

1. Cabbage

Surprising right? Well, cabbage is rich in an amino acid called glutamine. It helps to fortify the mucosal lining of the gut. It also improves blood flow to the stomach. So it will prevent ulcers and also speed up healing of existing sores.

Just eat 2 cups of raw cabbage daily. You can also add it to your salad.

2. Yogurt

Foods like yogurt or fermented milk have the good bacteria. This inhibits H.pylori, which helps heal ulcers faster. Taking yogurt at least 3 times a week actually prevents one from getting ulcers.

Just take a cup of yogurt a day.

3. Kale

This leafy green contains sulforaphane. This is a compound which kills H.pylori.

Consider eating a cup a day of kale. You can take it raw or cooked. Not only will it battle the ulcers, it will also add vitamin C and fiber to your body. These two help prevent ulcers.

4. Honey

Finally, something everyone loves. Honey fights bacteria. This property helps it to fight H.pylori too.

You can start by taking a tablespoon of unprocessed raw honey in the morning and at night. This is to calm down the ulcers. Spread it on bread to keep it in the stomach longer. And because thia is a bacteria that grows, remember to always keep up with this routine. Do this until all the symptoms are gone.
