The Blues are preparing for their clash against Manchester united on Sunday. There was no time for them to waste, after they defeated Atletico Madrid on Tuesday this week, courtesy of Olivier Giroud goal.
Chelsea first team arrived in England on Wednesday morning and were understandably, given the rest of a day off to recover from the trip. Thomas Tuchel team trained at Cobham yesterday and another training session was held this morning, although the majority of the work done was not focused on this weekend's opponents in the premier league, as the manager confirmed that it will begin tomorrow.
Speaking to the media this afternoon, the Blues Boss said that they are aware that today is not the day to focus on Man United, it was a day to bring the group together to train on the pitch.
Apart from Thiago Silva, who is recovering from a thigh injury, all the rest of the players are fit and they took part in today's training at Cobham.
*. Now let's look at the 4 things that happened at the Blues training ground today.
1. Christensen was wearing an anklet: looking at the picture above, you will see Andreas Christensen watching Olivier Giroud intently. And you will see him wearing an anklet in his left leg, which has been well strapped up by the Blues medical team.
But the good news is that, he is not injured because Tuchel did not raise it when speaking.
2. Billy Gilmour was battling the ball with Jorginho: the young Scottish player has a bright future at Chelsea, but as things stand's in the Blues midfield, he is currently the fourth choice central midfielder st the club.
As a player, he has lots of quality but Kovacic, Jorginho and Kante are ahead of him in the picking order, which means, it is not easy for Billy to find his place.
3. Hakim Ziyech searches for his magic on the training: since Tuchel became Chelsea Boss, things has not been easy for the winger at the club, with the likes of Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Alonso and Hudson-Odoi first-team involved under the new manager, Ziyech chance has declined in the process.
He has been featured just four times, and in those 4 only two have been starts.
4. Anjorin pushing for a start with a good display in the training ground: the young star has been involved in the first team squad for several months now, but he has not been playing for the team all the time. The 19 years old midfielder has played for Thomas Tuchel side only once, which he came in as a sub against Barnsley in the FA Cup.
