The government is leaving nothing to chance when it comes to providing security to Kenyans as we head towards general elections. It is because of this that the government has identified areas that are likely to experience pre election chaos and beefed security to the mapped areas.
According to a report filed by regional commissioners the areas that are more problematic during party primaries and nominations are Kisumu, Siaya and Migori. Apart from the three counties, the report singled out towns that mostly breed pre election chaos. They were identified as Transmara, Kisii, Kuria and Migori towns.
The report put most of the blame on grassroot politicians. They accused them of sowing divisions among the public by using selective language in their campaigns which ultimately lead to incitement. While cautioning local leaders they also said a security committee will be enacted to make sure there is peace as we head towards 2022 general elections.
