1. Efe Ambrose

Efetobore "Efe" Ambrose Emuobo was born on October 18th, 1988 in Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He is a professional footballer who currently plays as as a centre back or a right back for Scottish Premiership side Hibernian FC.

Ambrose started his professional career at Kaduna United in 2006 and two years later, he was loaned to Bayelsa United for the 2008–09 season but remained with Kaduna United after helping them win promotion.

Ambrose joined Israeli Premier League club FC Ashdod in June 2010 and left in 2012.

Ambrose made his debut on 22 September 2012 as a substitute for Celtic captain Scott Brown against Dundee in the Scottish Premier League, a 2–0 victory. He made his full début against Raith Rovers in the Scottish League Cup, in a 4–1 victory. He scored his first goal for Celtic in a 5–0 win over St Mirren on 20 October 2012, celebrating the goal with a quadruple somersault. Ambrose went on to make his Champions League debut for Celtic, where he played 90 minutes in a 3–2 win over Spartak Moscow. On 4 November 2012, Ambrose headed in an own goal, in a 2–2 draw against Dundee United. After the match, Ambrose said he let himself down and felt that he could have cleared the ball away. On 7 November 2012, ahead of a Champions League game against Barcelona, Ambrose made a vow to give his best ever performance for the club. After a stunning performance by the Celtic players, they won 2–1 and Ambrose said that winning against Barcelona was the 'perfect way to celebrate Celtic's 125th anniversary.

Since 2013, Ambrose has come under strong criticism from fans and pundits alike for frequent poor performances and errors which have led to opposition goals. On 31 August 2016, after becoming frozen out of the first-team at Celtic under new manager Brendan Rodgers, Celtic accepted a bid of £300,000 for Ambrose from Standard Liege, but the deal fell through after he opted to stay at Celtic Park. In February 2017, Ambrose's proposed loan move to Blackburn Rovers fell through, after the club was unable to obtain a work permit.

He was called up to Nigeria's 23-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. In the Africa Cup of Nations, Ambrose played five out of six games for Nigeria, playing in the right-back position, including the final which he started. After the tournament, Ambrose was named in the 2013 African Cup of Nations Team of the Tournament. Ambrose says winning the Africa Cup of Nations was his biggest achievement and one of the greatest moments of his life.

After winning the African Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles in 2013, he was awarded the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) by former president Goodluck Jonathan.

On 28 February 2017, Ambrose joined Hibernian on loan for the rest of the season. Ambrose scored his first goal for Hibs on 25 March, the opening goal of a 2–1 win in the Scottish Championship against Falkirk. He won the Scottish Championship player of the month award for March 2017.

After his contract with Celtic expired at the end of the season, Ambrose signed a two-year contract with Hibernian. Ambrose exercised a clause in his contract and left Hibernian in January 2019, despite the club offering him a new deal.

In February 2019, Ambrose went on trial with EFL Championship club Derby County. Later that month he signed a short-term contract with the club.

After several months without a club, Ambrose signed for Livingston in February 2020.

2. Reuben Shalu Gabriel

Reuben Shalu Gabriel, born 25 September 1990, is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder.

Gabriel was born in Kaduna. In his country he played for Kaduna United FC, Enyimba International F.C. and Kano Pillars FC.

In October 2012, Gabriel was named both the Player of the Year and the National Team Player of the Year at the 2012 League Bloggers Awards (LBA), held in Lagos.

On 2 April 2013, Gabriel joined Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock as a free agent, signing a three-year contract. He made his debut for his new team on 29 November, in a Scottish Cup tie against Dundee United where he conceded a penalty in a 2–5 away defeat.

In November 2013, Reuben demanded to leave Kilmarnock in the January 2014 window. He was released in January, after the club accepted his request.

In January 2014, Reuben went on trial with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. However, nothing came of it, and he joined Belgian Pro League side Waasland-Beveren on a one-and-a-half-year contract late in the month.

Gabriel made his debut for Nigeria in March 2010, in a 5–2 win against the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Previously, he was a member of the national B-team that won the 2010 WAFU Nations Cup.

Reuben scored his first international on 9 June 2012, netting the opener in an eventual 1–1 away draw against Malawi for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He was called to the 23-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, being an unused player as the Super Eagles won the tournament in South Africa.

Reuben was also selected to the 2014 World Cup by coach Stephen Keshi. He made his debut in the tournament on 30 June, replacing injured Ogenyi Onazi in the 59th minute of an eventual 0–2 loss to France for the round-of-16.

3. Musa Auwal Yahaya

Musa Auwal Yahaya was born on December 16th, 1997 in Kaduna, Kaduna state, Nigeria. He is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for FC Porto of Portugal and the Nigerian National team.

Born in Kaduna, Northern Nigeria, Musa started his football career at Mutunchi Academy before he was selected to represent Nigeria at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup . Musa made his debut on 28 February 2016 in the Segunda Liga after coming on as a 46th minute replacement for Theo Ryuki.

Musa has represented Nigeria at major international tournaments including the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup and 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Musa is married to his wife, Sawda, with whom he has a daughter named Khady.

4. Simon Zenke

Simon Zenke, born 24 December 1988, is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Nigerian national team.

Zenke began his career in his hometown Kaduna with Kaduna United before joining RC Strasbourg in 2008.

In November 2018, he signed a contract with Romanian first division club Dinamo București. He left the club in June 2019. At the end of January 2020, Zenke then moved to French Championnat National 2 club SC Schiltigheim.

In May 2020, Zenke confirmed on social medias, that his agent was negotiating with clubs from India. The club he was reportedly Hyderabad FC. However, nothing came out of it.

His younger brother Thomas is also a footballer.

5. Thomas Zenke

Thomas Zenke was born in Kaduna, Nigeria on January 30th, 1993. He is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Nigerian clubside, Nasarawa United, and has also featured in different age grade levels for the Nigerian national team.

In January 2016, Zenke travelled to Malta for negotiations with Mosta FC. But he was left disappointed after learning what he will be earning which was far less than what he was told when he agreed to travel to Malta. He then travelled back to Nigeria and continued playing for Nasarawa United.

He made his international debut for Nigeria in 2017.
