Communities That Might Help DP William Ruto Win The 2022 Presidential Elections(Opinion)

Polls in Kenya are carried out every five years. The next one will be held in 2022. Already those who want to vie for the various positions are preparing and strategizing seriously on how to campaign. What many citizens are interested in is the presidential seat.

President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta will be finishing his two terms in office. According to the Constitution, he won't be vying something that leaves the race to State House more interesting and more competitive.

His Deputy William Ruto on the other hand has been moving across the country helping the youths and women groups while asking them for support. He is using the hustler nation slogan wherever he goes to win the hearts of people. It is not clear whether the President will support him.

In 2017 the International Media Aljazeera wrote an article indicating that Kenya's presidential outcomes have always been determined by ethnicity.

Our country has those tribes with high populations. According to the 2019 census, the top three include; Kikuyu(8,148,668). The Luhya follows with 6,823,842 and the Kalenjin(6,358,113)

In my feeling, if he gets full support from these three communities then he might win because the three make up almost 55 percent of the population in the country.
