Talent is plenty in the Premier Soccer League and Stellenbosch FC are one of the clubs in the league who have unearthed some wonderful talent. The latest reports from Soccer Laduma has it that Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are monitoring Stellies youngster Roy Keane Avontuur with keen interest.
Chiefs and Sundowns are very good at spotting a talent. The 18-year-old Avontuur made history by becoming the club's youngest-ever debutant last year. He was in action at the Engen Knockout tournament in Cape Town last weekend, leading Stellies to a semi-final finish, where they lost out to the eventual winners Ubuntu FC.
Amd now it is believed that Amakhosi and Masandawana had sent scouts to the prestigious youth tournament to keep an eye on the midfielder.
Avontuur made five appearances in the DStv Premiership for coach Steve Barker’s side last season. It remains to be seen if the two Premier Soccer League giants would manage to lure him away from the club.
