Rivatex Rewards Raila's Wife With Locally Made Dress, She Puts It On

Rivatex has today rewarded Raila Odinga's wife Ida, with a locally made dress.

Humphrey Kimani, Chairman Rivatex and Yvette Vanesa Rivatex Nairobi outlet manager paid Mama Ida a courtesy call at her office today and delivered the package to her.

Ida then put on her new dress while still in the office and even posed for pictures while wearing the new dress

She took to social media where she shared a picture she took while in the new dress.

Ida has asked Kenyans to focus on buying and building Kenya, especially the need to promote the textile industry in the country

She noted that she held discussions with her visitors, on how to improve the textile industry in the country

"The One County, One Product agenda aims at achieving Buy Kenya  - Build Kenya. One of the key industries we need to promote is the textile industry.

"We discussed the various ways we can improve the industry in our country," she said.

Raila Odinga's manifesto promised to empower textile industries so that the country can stop importing mitumba clothes from abroad, instead, mitumba traders buy new clothes from local industries.

However, his plan was criticized by Deputy President William Ruto and his team after they said Raila was after banning the mitumba business in the country.
