Another serious disease has started making waves on some parts of world including Africa and also Ghana. This disease affects the skin and create some boils on it.
The Ghana Health Service has confirmed five cases of the Monkey Pox Disease in three regions of the country.
Eastern region, Western region and the Greater Accra region are the three regions to have recorded cases of this disease.
The Director-General of GHS, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, disclosed this at a press briefing today and explained that no death has been recorded so far with none of the infected persons also in critical conditions.
However, every disease seems to have some kind of ways to prevent it from spreading. One can prevent the spread of the Monkey pox by avoiding skin to skin and also face to face contact with other persons. One is also urged wash hands regularly.
Monkeypox is an endemic in countries such as Benin, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, the Republic of the Congo, Sierra Leone, and South Sudan
