Crucial Documents Every 2020 Candidate Should Have When Applying For Helb Loan

Are you a 2020 candidate, stranded on which documents you should have inorder to make Helb loan first time application? Don't worry, relax I'm here to help you sort out the issue. Many are the times students miss out in the loan disbursement process due to unavailability of the required details. So let me first explain what helb is.

This is a board with the mandate of providing funds all university, college and Tvet students especially those from less fortunate families, in form of loans, repayable after the four or more years of study. Renewal is done in the beginning of every academic year, through a subsequent application.

So today I want to share the crucial documents you should have, before applying for the loan.

The portal is now open for first timers and will be closing in October 1st 2021. You need to have;

1. Admission letter

This is a welcoming letter, which is issued by institutions after kuccps releases the placement results. It can be downloaded from the school portal by logging in using your administration number and password ( KCSE index number). This is important because it contains the institution bank account number where the usual four thousand shillings is deposited every semester, just as a way of financing fees.

2. National identity card

Must provide your id and that of parents. That's why you must be eighteen years old to qualify for the loan. Incase you're an orphan, then a death certificate or permit should be attached. This is to prove honesty and avoid faking information.

The forms are now available, just visit a cyber cafe, download, fill it and take it to the concerned offices for signing ( religious leader, advocate, chief) then when you're done, deliver to the nearby huduma center.
