After deciding to hang up his gloves, star goalkeeper and England international, Lee Grant has made a sensational return to the game in no minute, with him being appointed as the first-team coach at EFL League One side, Ipswich Town.

"Following his retirement from Manchester United, Lee Grant has joined Town as first-team coach. Lee, who made more than 500 appearances in his career and has been acquiring his coaching badges in recent years, will join up with Town ahead of the return for pre-season in June," reads part of the official statement from the Tractor Boys.

The 39 year old will now join former Manchester United first team coach, Kierran McKenna at the helm after the Northern Irish tactician took over the reigns at the Portman Road Stadium back in December following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the Theatre of Dreams.

Meanwhile, on his appointment, the now former Manchester United goalkeeper said: "This is really a fantastic opportunity for me, and I am looking forward to it."
